As part of the new $57m White Bay Cruise Ship Terminal for Sydney Harbour, Colt were asked to assist with the design, supply and installation of a complete passive smoke control system. Constructed by AW Edwards for Sydney Ports, the new terminal will help service the burgeoning holiday cruise market.
The smoke control system provided to the terminal consists of 84 Kameleon smoke ventilators with 24 volt DC double actuators. The Kameleon ventilators are are all controlled by a centrally located Colt Control Panel.
The thermally broken Kameleon smoke ventilators used offer a huge 63º opening angle, a low U value and Sound Reduction Rw of 45 dB to help maintain pleasant levels of noise within the terminal.
